A vessel for promoting some lovely Cornish scenery. That's all it is. If you want an intelligent story with unique twists and suspense then it's a good job you will be stuck on the A303 getting to see it. This is a painfully predictable film with a story so lazy it is a little insulting. There are some likeable characters and some credible acting talent. But this project was created for the sake of it. There was never an intention to create a real film here. Just another transactional activity aimed at earning a few pounds £. Every scene, whilst pretty, just collided into the next. The story develops at a rapid pace, ignoring the need for logic or feeling. It just wants to go from A to B and doesn't care how little sense it makes or what well trodden cliches it spews out. This is a Sunday TV movie at best. With the rain pouring down outside and the family isolating from the next plague. I hope that it helps to promote Cornwall because it really is a lovely place to visit. Even without the massive CGI sunsets.

Continuation of an excellent film in which we once again follow the life of interesting and entertaining characters. James Purefoy is absolutely brilliant in the role of Jim, easily transforming into the role of a bitter, but actually good-natured character who has a hard time coming to terms with his loss and turns to alcohol. We follow his progression towards the realization that life simply goes on and that he has to come to terms with some things. Some new characters appear and they are an excellent addition to the already well-known actors of this story. The film is different from most of today's films because it does not bore us with the usual lessons, but wants to entertain us and show us people with their flaws and virtues. This is, after all, a movie that actually deals with normal people and their lives, who sometimes find themselves in unusual situations. An interesting and entertaining continuation of the story about friends who found themselves in a position to become famous, but did not lose the most valuable thing, which is humanity and dignity. Definitely a movie worth watching.

"Fisherman's Friends: One And All" is sequel to 2019 true-tale Brit dramedy "Fisherman's Friends" about the titular Cornish folk singer troupe inc James Purefoy, Dave Johns, David Hayman (posthumously) & new addition Richard Harrington. Despite Chris Foggin directing some beautiful scenery shots, and nice supports from Joshua McGuire & Maggie Steed, this melodrama replaces the original's moderate charm with a dank smugness, thanks mainly to Purefoy's dour misery & arrogance dominating it (Purefoy & returning writers (Piers Ashworth, Meg Leonard & Nick Moorcroft) screwed that aspect badly (and others)). Dull fare - for ardent sea shanty fans only. Flush.

This film brought a lot of joy to the audience. It's less of a comedy than the first but doesn't overdo it on the drama side of things. Purefoy delivers a strong performance.

A good film with a message,the storyline is good,but not twee.the cast is good and the songs fit in just right.a crowd pleaser.touching on the matter of mental health in both men and women.

This is a good movie - suitable for watching as a family or even when dating. It has light romance, light comedy, feel good results. Of course, the singing is really good. A bit clinche at times but overall pretty entertaining. The acting is good, scenery nice and humor entertainingly. I like the fact that they did not use super model figures as their male and female leads. The cast reflects regular folks and that contributed to the film being believable. Some parts are predictable but overall it's good entertainment and you feel happy having watched the movie. It is well paced too - not a dull moment.

I wasn't the biggest fan of the first movie, watchable but boring... Maybe a 4 or 5 out of 10; but my partner liked it and there wasn't much to choose from at the cinema this weekend so I reluctantly agreed to go with him. I entered the theatre with low expectations... Boy was I pleasantly surprised! Yes, it's not blockbuster movie, nor worthy of an Oscar (most Oscar winners are overrated guff anyway) and a couple of the supporting cast members are very poor in regards to their acting talent. BUUUTTTT overall it's enjoyable, heart warming and you leave with a smile on your face. Worth a watch for sure, and believable or not, it is actually a true story.

I would suggest that this sequel is a tad cynical in its intentions, well certainly more cynical than the audience who would pay to watch it. Throughout its runtime it would seem that there is a checklist of episodic and very rushed storylines that have absolutely no emotional resonance due to their obvious insincerity. For example, the central character won't sing with the newly appointed tenor due to the fact he is a farmer, Wow! Hardly the Sex Pistols is it? Because he expresses this live it makes all the following day's newspapers. Yes OK! Then there is a shoed in romance, then his mother falls into a shaft, will she be ok? Yes everything's fine! The record company are not sure about the vocals so they gatecrash a restaurant and provide an impromptu performance, yep everyone loves them! Then.

I didn't see the first movie so am at somewhat of a disadvantage but heard it was a decent enjoyable movie. The plot of the sequel is paper thin and frankly uninteresting but what makes things even worse is knowing that everyone in the cast is desperately trying to make it work... but do I care if they get a new contract or about their hokey love affairs?.. nope? Curiously I was with 3 friends who enjoyed it well enough but I never felt so much a prisoner in a cinema. What was excellent was the beautiful views of Cornwall and the actual singing ... BUT THERE WASN'T MUCH SINGING!!. So why didn't they just create a lovely Cornwall travelogue with a ton of old Fisher Man's Shanties ???
