I thought finally, a movie with the biblical end times! Couldn't wait to see it. Well, let's just say, "well then..." I think it was meant to be a cheesy movie, but it was too much cheese with an awful mixture of lame. The setting is really cliche - a * in a peep show house. I do give the film credit for giving a little bit of emotional background to the two main female characters. However, that seems to be the only effort put into the story. I'm not sure if this was done on purpose or not. It is fun though. The main characters come off as annoying as hell. Other than having them reveal a little background, I wanted to tear my hair out while listening to them argue with each other most of the time. Finally, the demon aesthetics were terrible.

It looked interesting to me when I saw the cover art of the movie and read the synopsis. I was not expecting a grandiose horror movie; rather, it's a pretty good movie with two leads I rooted for to get out of their hellscape. At first, I didn't like the lead of Sally Mewbourne, but when she revealed that she was a lesbian, I understood her plight. Being a part of an ultra-conservative, religious family, being gay was very taboo during the '80s. I give this a recommendation if you're into late '80s nostalgic horror movies, with some charm and heart. Hopefully, Angie took Sally out for tacos, but the ending... doesn't translate as such. Who wants tacos from Hell?

This was painful to watch. I give them credit for making a movie. It's more than I've done. Go in expecting Manos the Hand of Fate and you should get a more enjoyable experience.

Judgment day theme is not my favorite type of movie. Especially when it's on a budget and having no serious plot twist. The horror is kinda boring. The scares are only effective against 5 year olds. And the ending didn't give the audience any closure they deserve. The only good thing we can get from this movie is just the moral lesson. Which we can get from any other sources without having to go through the boredom.

I know it's a low budget horror film and the rules are that you don't turn the lights because you will see the shonky effects. But, this is way too much. Predictable stereotypes make it play out as you would expect.

The movie screams to the 80's low budget horror fans and no one else. And that's ok. The best part for me, the ending, during the credits. Not the credits. But what's played during them. You know. The part no one ever watches.

The moment I saw the protesters and the premise was clear I realized this was going to be anything but a horror movie. This was a piece of crap is what it was. Instead of a well written horror movie about the end, it was mostly focused on the fact that this religious girl was indeed a sinner herself and moreover, she was a lesbian who hid behind her religion and felt shame and judged herself... I don't even know why I didn't get up and punched myself in the gut for continuing to watch this...

Really fun 80s set buddy movie (a * and a religious fanatic) with a dose of apocalyptic horror and two great leads. The two main actresses completely make the movie with their campy, but believable personalities and killer chemistry.

I sincerely hope that, after this, the 'writers' and the 'actors' have already secured their jobs at McDonalds. That's all I have to say about this piece of trash.

Right, well the cover/poster for the 2022 horror movie "Revealer" was interesting, especially given the 1980s vibe and the tentacles in the background. And being an avid horror fan and a Lovecraft fan, of course I opted to watch "Revealer", despite of never having heard about it prior to watching it. I wasn't sure what I was in for here, from writers Luke Boyce, Michael Moreci and Tim Seeley, but I do believe in giving a movie a fair chance. And since "Revealer" was a horror movie, then I was already interesting in watching it. The storyline told in "Revealer" was a bit too far out there for my liking. I mean, the end of days apparently takes place in the 1980s, and all we get to see, essentially, is the insides of a sleazy strip club. But wait, it gets better, then suddenly the demon Asmodeus shows up. Right. Well, it might have worked if anything interesting actually took place during the slow paced progress of the narrative. But it didn't, and that means that you are stuck with a somewhat dull and monotonous storyline that takes forever to get nowhere and tells nothing worthwhile while doing that. Not really the recipe for a top of the line narrative. The acting performances in "Revealer" were actually fair enough, despite of the cast ensemble being very small, and the actresses and actors virtually had next to nothing to work with. So at least that counted for something. Visually then "Revealer" was okay, I guess. If you look aside from the inarticulate rubber mask that they used for Asmodeus. All in all, then "Revealer" is not a fabulous horror movie, nor is it actually particularly scary or entertaining. If you enjoy horror movies, then I suggest you get your kicks elsewhere, like "Stranger Things" for example, as "Revealer" seems to be somewhat influenced by that series. My rating of director Luke Boyce's "Revealer" lands on a three out of ten stars.
