Making one thing clear right off the bat: I do NOT watch these drama serials. People around me do; my aunts, my uncles (yes) and a few of my friends. I literally (REAL) signed into my account to give this serial a bad review. In fact, if I could give 90% of Pakistani drama serials a 1-star rating out of a 100, I would. Believe me. I am not here to review this particular series; rather to generally review the content that the Pakistani "film" industry loves to create. Since this serial is the epitome of bad content, writing, direction, character, etc, I decided I'd comment on this. Okay, so where do I even begin? The same dragged out, melodramatic trope? Yes. The SAME. Literally. This is the (only) one kind of trope that exists in Pakistan: The beautiful, NAYK (kind) girl is the pitiful girl that always seems to be getting used / abused by at least one character. The mean, beautiful evil girl seducing with her looks. The handsome businessman with the same shave and the trope hairstyle being seduced by evil girl. Evil girl plans to steal fortune from handsome rich man. Rich man eventually realises this and marries / comes to love nice, kind girl instead. The End. Nananana. God!!! Please!!! Stop this horror! The plot, already bad and shallow - lazy writing and direction, absolutely NO character depth. Bad portrayal of women and men BOTH: either a girl is super evil and only wants money and is a seductress, or either she's full drama-queen, I'll-cry-when-I-can't-see-mommy whiny sympathy girl. The men are ALWAYS the rich karobari (businessmen) jerks. Then the CRINGE that they call romance. I physically cringe away from the television screen whenever a so-called "romantic" scene happens to appear. These serials are almost DIFFICULT to watch. It also seems like marriage is always the plot point. Audiences (young and old alike!) are being taught that marriage is the only fulfilling thing you can desire in life. Your goal in life is to be married as a girl, and your goal in life is to be a rich, handsome man as a boy. And as a parent, it is undoubtedly your job to control your children's lives, their decisions, and to teach them that MARRIAGE ONCE AGAIN is the only desirable part of life. Also, all the girls that seem to be rather modernised are always portrayed as "evil" and "cunning". Oh look at her, in her tight-fitted shirt! She must be seducing men! PLEASE STOP. There is NOTHING good, or interesting, or intriguing about these serials. Please stop destroying the already doomed-to-hell mindsets over here in Pakistan! Have mercy! This line of work does NOT suit you!
