Sawako who works as a physician away from her hometown return home to Shikawa for her father's sake. She obtains a job at a local clinic. As part of her job she provides outpatient services alongside a former colleague and other caregivers from the clinic. She has no choice but to become enmeshed in the lives of her colleagues and patients who come from different walks of life.
