Again people the trailers are just supposed to entice me to want to watch not give me the whole storyline plus the ending. Yah Yah these always have the same kind of ending but I'd still like to watch a movie without knowing the full ending. But I guess thanks for a 2 mins and not wasting my time with a full 1hr 40 min.

Just the facial expressions and juvenile presentation of the lead actress - this may though be largely the fault of the camera angles and distance - they could have modified the looks and addressed this quite easily. The story itself is sweet and novel, the scenery and tips for natural cooking inspiring, and the chemistry between the leads nice. They are a well matched fictional couple. I love these movies that bring that little extra creativity to foodie films and the power of partnerships and how we bring out the best in each other and add strength and colour to our work in the meantime. This couple learn a lot from each other.

I had no difficulty finishing this movie because the lead actress played the role of a person with a love for life, to perfection. She was obviously concerned about her blog, uncertain about a recent break-up, and somewhat peeved about the proposed book deal and who she would have to work with. It seems to me that she worked through these problems in keeping with her character very satisfactorily. Loved the chemistry between the two lead roles, not overdone, very believable, and I enjoyed their journey. I really liked the way a popular theme, cooking, was managed, and how the leads began to be able to work with each other as the story developed. Why do we watch movies like this? For a pleasant enjoyable break in our own lives. "Kiss the Cook" fulfills this to perfection.

What's the most important thing that makes a good movie? I would say the story. And to be honest this is a somewhat shallow romantic story of the type you might see on the Hallmark channel. At best, the story is okay. I'll give it a C-. What's the second most important things that makes a good movie? I would say the lead actors. And here's the problem: I've never seen her before, so I have no idea of the quality of her acting in other projects, but here, Erica Deutschman is not at all impressive...and that's putting it politely. On the other hand, the male lead -- Andrew Bushell -- whom I've also never seen before, shows promise. He's got some real talent and is very 'watchable'. I almost felt sorry for him being in this film with Deutschman. In terms of the supporting actors, I was most impressed with Rothaford Gray, while Katy Breier was not a good addition to the cast, and Massey Ahmar was...there. LOL. I think this is the kind of film we see in this age of streaming where new content has to be added often and quickly. I sometimes enjoy these films as places to find interesting young actors that show promise. But this movie, overall, is a disappointment.

This story takes after the premise that the leads collaborate on a cookbook together. There's other history there that plays into the story and it's no more unusual than the basic premise. I wish I could say this without being mean, but there is something about Erica Deutschman that rubs me the wrong way - like nails on a chalkboard. Maybe it has to do with poor acting which is true, but I think it's something about her mannerisms. I felt bad for Gavin and just didn't enjoy watching them spend time together. Since that's the heart of the movie, it was a no-win for me. The conflict originates over a ridiculous idea. Why would someone need to steal an origin story? And from a notebook that could clearly show the plagiarism. That said, I really can't say much else about the movie.

The lead actress was hard to watch. Her overacting might be a "character decision" but it was very hard to keep staying on the channel between commercials. The food does look good so props to the food props department! I was interested in some small details around natural food colouring but it's not enough to save the movie. Btw I don't think dying the milk from beets will make a coffee latte completely pink. It should be dark brown? Well I'll make it to the end just because there's nothing else on tv.

I had difficulty finishing this movie because in my opinion the lead actress didn't know how to act period of every person in the movie she was the only one that I just couldn't take to because she wasn't natural at all! She ruined the movie for me!

I recorded this and finally got around to watching it. The first few minutes were hard to get through. Kept thinking I could just muddle through it. Then the introduction of the woman friend and her 'wife'. Just lost my cookies and hit the stop button.
