There was no shortage of surrogates willing to assist the nice couple of Brad and Monica, who want to have a baby. Monica's wayward sister Jen offers, but the honor of carrying and delivering the baby is given to Lily Mahoney, who works as a temp at Brad's office. Eventually, a theme that emerges is that it is not a good idea to allow the surrogate to become the nanny of your new baby. The most interesting character in the film was Jen, who had a hair-trigger temper and seemed to mess up every menial task she was assigned. Growing up, she was always overshadowed by her sister Monica, who is now a successful attorney. The question that unfolds is how far will Jen go in disrupting the lives of Brad, Monica, and their new baby Olivia? The best performance in the film was that of Sarah Fisher as little Lily Mahoney, the surrogate. There was a sweetness about Lily singing a lullaby to baby Olivia. The actress was successful in developing a character with depth and whose secrets were carefully guarded. The heart of the film was in the ebb and flow of the relationship of the two sisters. Monica was especially patient with her insecure sister. But, in the clutch, Jen rose to the occasion to demonstrate the eternal bonding of the sisters and notion of "family." The filmmakers also merit an extra star for locating and casting the most well-behaved and adorable baby on the planet and for adding a touch of cinematic history in the runaway baby carriage as an homage to Eisenstein's classic film "Potemkin."

Let me start by saying the acting was decent and the plot was just a bit more intriguing than most "psycho nanny" movies. A couple has a baby via surrogate-- a young woman named Lily (who kind of looks like Misha Barton) who has supposedly been a surrogate once before. They found her while she was doing temp work for the husband. The wife, Monica is a lawyer and has a difficult past with her sister Jen and is also representing her in her custody battle. Jen has been acting erratically and has a hot temper, so Monica and her husband choose Lily to also be the baby's nanny. Strange things occur, including a near fatal accident. Is Jen that jealous and spiteful or is someone else (or more than one...?) plotting against Monica? This is not a cinematic masterpiece but it kept me entertained more than usual due to the strange dynamic between a few of the characters.

When Jen is watching ruby from her car her mobile rings. Monica is calling her but it actually comes up as Jen on the phone. Therefore it looks like she is phoning herself.

One of my favourite LMN movies, and they are very rare and far in between. It's the story of two sister, Monica and Jennifer, the latter I assume being the younger one. Movie opens with ten years ago where Monica arrives home from I assume school to find her boyfriend and sister making out. Furious at what she has seen, she kicks her boyfriend out and has a blowout with Jen and storms off in her car and has a crash. Then it is ten years later and in the hospital delivery room Lily is giving birth to Monica and Brad's baby girl, Olivia. OK so this is the background of the movie. Oh just wanting to add that Jen is going through an ugly divorce from her husband Sam who has a young beautiful girlfriend Laura. Monica is a lawyer and is representing her sister Jen in the divorce and shared custody of Sam and Jen's daughter Ruby. Now there were a few holes in the story which I will go through. 1 - Was Lily a surrogate when she was temping for Brad or was it the baby that her mother forced her to put up for adoption? 2 - Were Brad and Monica the donors and hence the biological parents or was it just Brad? 3 - Did the accident cause Jennifer's infertility or was she born that way? 4 - Did Jen succeed in getting full custody or Ruby or just shared custody? To continue on , there were three strong casts in this movie, Christy Tate (Monica), Brianna Cohen aka Ren Harlow (Jennifer) and Sarah Fisher (Lily). I have seen them in other LMN movies and they have been good in all three. One last thing, Sam and Laura were obnoxiously horrible people. And I hope he lost the custody battle! I rarely give stars to LMN movies but this one gets a nine from me. Finally I left out a very important question: Aren't there usually clauses in surrogacy contracts that the surrogate terminates all contacts with the couple after giving birth? I thought this was the major flaw in the movie. Hey Brad and Jen were cosey and buddy buddy with Lily to the point where they hired her for a nanny? Sorry, but I'll have to deduct a star for this flaw! Oh one more thing! Brad's fall in Monica's office was hilarious! So animated and fake. The director should have opted for a zoomed out shot with a stunt double doing the scene!

Lily is surrogate for a couple, Monica and Brad, and they need a nanny. Enter Jen, Monica's sister, who is going through a messy custody battle was supposed to fill that role. But Jen's been acting out of control and they pick Lily, instead. Did the couple make the right choice? You'll have to tune in to find out. Good acting and script. Definitely worth a watch!

It's a good TV movie. Sarah Fisher is great at playing the villain. I watch just because Sarah Fisher is so wonderful as the villain.
