Most Christmas movies a la Hallmark/Lifetime are cheesy and sappy. I still love them at Christmas time. This movie is not in those categories. It's an absolutely awful story. The female lead is a people pleaser, sure, but she has truly sacrificed for the people she loves. In return, they accuse her of being a manipulative steam roller who wants her way. It's insane to me! She gave up college and travel to take care of her Mom. She kept the family business going after her Dad died so her brother would have something to come back to after finishing school. She gave up her travel dream a second time to buy her whiny friend her dream wedding dress. It made me wonder, what had any of them done to deserve that kind of sacrifice? They were all ungrateful. When did any one of them stop to think about her and her feelings? What had any of them ever done for her? Now enter in her selfish brothers friend. They could've found a good looking actor, but even then it wouldn't have redeemed the character. He's a one dimensional a-hole. Everyone thinks his awful behavior is fine and only reprimands the woman. I got a real abusive vibe from him. How a man treats his mother is a hint how he'll treat you. But this girl so wanted to be loved by anyone her crazy Aunt held hands with that she missed all the obvious red flags. He yelled at her, yelled at her elderly Aunt, slammed a door in her face, was rude in every interaction. Even the scene of throwing flour, which they meant to be cute, was tainted. Then you get to the ending. We were so wanting them to NOT end up together. She has a moment of clarity and says "we'll just end up hurting each other." To which he says "I'll always come back."😳 What a couple of psychos! They should show this film in psychology classes as examples of mental illnesses.

Horrible Christmas movie. The leading man was unlikeable and acting terrible. I was hoping she would see what a jerk he was and go find someone better. I was sad they ended up together. Pass on this Stinker!!

First, they throw way too many of the generic movie plot points in. It's like a mash up/rip off of several different movies jammed into one. Second, the male lead is a complete ahole. The look in his eyes when he's telling the old woman off was genuinely chilling. I actually turned it off at that point. I understand he hasn't grown up with love in his life. I understand he has issues. But the real message the movie should have sent is that he needs to deal with those on his own before entering into a serious relationship. Very disturbing that many people see this as ok and think she should be expected to fix him. She deserved better.

I love this movie! The story line is fantastic! A lot of love stories are fake and unrealistic. This movie is perfect, because it captures the reality of relationship, while still adding in romance and intrigue! One of the best parts to me, about this movie, is that it is clean and family friendly! It is such a struggle to find family worthy movies these days! My kids were engaged the whole movie too and even commented on the plot and storyline... Which I won't share so I don't spoil the movie😜 Not only is the movie fantastic, but the creators and actors behind the show were so fantastic!!! I had the pleasure of managing one of the venues that helped in the movie and I was so impressed by everyone involved in the movie! Every one of them was so respectful and kind! It was so fun to see the movie go from being filmed to becoming a film!

This is a sweet movie! We loved it! We love Christmas so it was a win win for me and my girls! There was a tender acknowledgement of shortcomings and forgiveness as well as just a great reminder of what really matters in life is family and friends and going after our passions! We just thought this was great ams well done!

There was zero connection between the leads and too many red flags already. It really was painful to watch so I had to accelerate the speed of the movie and skip some parts so it ends quicker. The girl was nice but the main character was just too rude and wooden. Like, come on, he didn't have to be super nice to everyone, but just some basic politeness and not being a douchebag, please. Also it's suspicious to see so many 10* reviews, especially considering that almost for all of these commenters it's an only review hmmmm All in all, would NOT recommend and if you think the main male character's attitude is ok and romantic I'v got some bad news for you (and better run it by your psychologist)

I just got out of a toxic relationship where my feelings were I was made to feel small. Watching this movie and seeing how the main love interest treats Holly, reminds me of what I walked away from. She went out of her way to be kind, and he attacked her. She apologized for doing something kind, because he didn't want her gift he yelled at her. Ugh I cried in this movie, not because it made me feel warm, but because it made me remember the coldness my ex had towards me. If movies keep showing men and women that THIS behavior is kind and loving, then I fear the next generation will all to willing settle for Medicare and apathetic vs. Finding. A partner that actually validates their emotions. I am beyond disappointed in the creators of this movie, y'all ruined Christmas romance movies...stop it.

The perfect small town Christmas movie for the whole family! My daughters, 11 and 13 years old, loved the sweet holiday storyline of family, friendship, and love. We will watch this movie year after year!

I would refrain from showing this film to teenagers or impressionable young people! While protagonist Holly is a loving, positive, forgiving individual, deuteragonist Chris is a volatile, uncaring, verbally abusive young man who treats her too harshly. His level of anger and disrespect for women is a little over-the-top in this film, considering he frequently throws even basic decency out the window during his verbal skirmishes with Holly. Over the course of the film Chris intimidates Holly, insults her, and verbally abuses her to a point at which a woman should cease contact. Yet Holly continues to be too forgiving, allowing an open door to a possibly toxic future relationship. Later in the film Chris yells at a kind elderly woman, sticking his face out just a couple feet from hers. We shouldn't allow our young men to think that this kind of disrespect for women is okay. Likewise, young women shouldn't be trained to give volatile men like this repeated chances at romance. I generally like these kind of movies, but this one was just terrible. With the exception of the protagonist, the acting was third-rate and the sequence if events would never happen in real life.

O my goodness, I have nothing positive to say about this movie. Red flags everywhere for Holly to run as fast and as far as she can from her love interest Chris. He is angry, rude and even goes so far as to verbally assault an old lady and actually "get in her face". Whoa, I do not understand who could have possibly thought this character was an acceptable "ideal" man. As a therapist who helps women escape from domestic violence this movie is a virtual nightmare!
