In the year 220X, 5th grader Subaru Hoshikawa, mourning his father's death, is given an invention, made by his father, called a Visualizer, which allows him to see radio-wave based aliens, which are trying to destroy the world. Together, with an alien named War-Rock, he fights to save the Earth as the hero Rockman.
