The Marine 5: Battleground_360P

Former Marine who now becomes an EMT and uses his combat skills to kick some but and save lives. Yes I can definitely see that scenario and found this movie totally watchable. The two paramedics (Jake and his partner) eventually find themselves fighting a biker gang inside a parking garage after getting a distress call from someone inside the garage. The whole movie basically takes place in that parking garage which pretty much becomes a battle zone pitting soldier against biker gang. The movie was never dull and had a few unexpected surprises. I thought it was a creative and well thought out movie and the best out of all the Marine films.

Generic action scenes, poor acting and weak one liners. But it is a WWE production so I kind of anticipated it. It's basically a Great Value brand equivalent of an action movie

This guy Mike Mizanin has to be one of the worst actors I have ever scene. His stunts , not to mention his facial expressions are horrific. Super lousy movie. Waste of time!!

This movie is fun. The acting is ok and the story is fine. It's what it is, a straight to DVD action movie

If your looking for an action packed exciting movie, ignore this one, it's so cheesy it's laughable. Ex marine (Mike "The Miz" Mizanin) now a paramedic on his first night on call to help a gun shot victim hiding out in a closed amusement park, soon finds himself fighting off a biker charter that are so stupid and idiotic they try to make the Miz look good, which most of the time seems futile as the moron can not act, but then none of this glorious cast cant either. A total snooze fest , might help if you have insomnia though.

I've seen all the Marine series and this one is a big let down! So carter is an ex marine a very decorated one that apparently has no hand to hand combat skills in any of these fight scenes taking a pretty good beating from all the people he comes up against until the very last fight scene on the rooftop. He also can't hit 3 targets in the open with an assaslt rifle in the fairground and the very last gun battle in the construction site he cycles all of his ammo at a huge pillar where bo is stood behind whilist no isn't even firing his weapon! All in all very disappointed with this film it's more of the writing/directing performance rather than the actors/actresses

BATTLEGROUND is the fifth instalment of the MARINE franchise; these are low budget action thrillers put out by WWE Studios. It was directed by James Nunn, who previously made the underrated TOWER BLOCK, and it's mildly entertaining, more so than I was expecting. The story sees wrestler Mike Mizanin playing the world's most unlikely paramedic, who gets involved with a gang of Hell's Angels when he's trapped in an underground car park with them. A DIE HARD scenario, in which he picks them off one at a time, subsequently ensues. The film has a boring setting and back drops and not much in the way of story, but it does have a fast pace, some unexpected twists, and a lot of violent mayhem, so it's not all bad. It's the kind of film you'll watch and forget about the acting, focusing instead on bad guys getting whacked and beaten.

The Marine 5 : Battleground is an absolutely crap film. It's nowhere near as good or better than The Marine starring John Cena which is a much more better film. The film The Marine 5 did have a bit of action, but it just wasn't tense or action packed enough and it did lack things in many ways. The Miz's acting as Jake Carter was awful, Bo Dallas was awful as Alonzo and the film was not a film that I enjoyed watching or found enjoyable to watch. They made too many Marine films but the best one was The Marine starring John Cena and Robert Patrick (aka The T1000 from Terminator 2: Judgement Day). That film The Marine is a high powered action packed thriller with tense action, awesome fight scenes and loads more. The Marine 5 is just a lame film that really shouldn't have been done.

Jake Carter (Mike Mizanin ) is back as an EMT. If you have missed the first four films we get a summary from his partner (Anna Van Hooft) : Two tours Afghanistan, Bronze Star, private security company. Now you are caught up. A couple of guys do a "hit" on the leader of the Lost Legion biker gang. We know these guys are tough because they wear black leather jackets with a skull on the back. They get bullet sprayed and pull into a parking garage of an off-season amusement park and call for help from a location where we find out later that cell phones don't work. Just saying. The biker gang follows, and we end up with a" P-2" hide-n-seek game for about an hour before they play cat and mouse outside. It was less than what I expected. I expected a quick parking garage scene, Miz, left for dead, then have him arm up with swagger music and go "Death Wish" all over the gang, solving the US heroin problem. Apparently they paid too much for the use of the park and had to film the entire movie there, one long fight scene. They had scenes that looked like they belonged in the ring, including the unreasonably long pauses between some moves. The production included an ax and blood splatter. Miz essentially has to kill other WWE guys dressed up as bikers. I was very disappointed in the script. Guide: No sex or nudity. No swearing as I recall, although rated "R" for language.
