So these young people want to go to an abandoned building because they hear strange things are going down there and it's like haunted and stuff. So they get some camera equipment and the four of them go this supposedly haunted location to try and capture on video the existence, or the lack there of the paranormal and/or the evil there. You'll never guess what happens next...things don't go right and spooky things start to happen. But it's really original how they used like this found footage perspective, so it seems like the actors themselves are actually shooting the whole movie. It's like super cool. Sorry for all the sarcasm, but this is getting really old. If you're anything like me, you've already seen the much better versions of this film and there's really no need to watch this one. It does absolutely nothing new and follows the exact same formula as every other film like it. These young people find out about a scary place, grab their cameras, on the way there locals warn them not to go, they go anyways, weird things happen along the way, they finally get there, things don't go right, and they don't have a good time. It's not that it's a horrible movie. It's just exactly the same as the many other movies just like it. It is easily the most played out setup in horror movies today and completely unoriginal. If you've never seen the Blair Witch or the thousand other clones of it, you might take away something from this. But for everyone else, it's just not worth your time. 4/10

I'm about midway through this movie, yeah it's not the most polished piece of cinema to ever grace the screen but it's pretty dadgum good. I love watching horror movies, especially the indie kind. As for found footage films this one is pretty good. The film making premise allows for many different angles and shots that wouldn't normally be found. I don't know what several of the armchair critics watched but what I'm seeing is a group of people doing their best to tell their story.

It's not bad. It's certainly not good. It's a slightly below average found footage film, strictly for us found footage fans. No real emotional connections developed. Very thin plot. I'd only recommend it if you (like me) have run out of FF horror movies. If found footage/shaky cam horror isn't for you, please just avoid the movie and spare us that stereotypical whining review. You won't like it. Promise. Dig found footage? Meh, you could do worse. *Side note: message me any under the radar FF movies worth seeing. I'm running low. If you need suggestions, hit me up*

The movie was fine, a bit dull and uneventful, but not shockingly horrible (or even really compelling) in any way. the biggest problem I had with this film is the fact that it does not even follow its own logical set of rules, those established by the whole "found footage" pseudo-documentary series. From the very beginning we're treated to a first-person camera view with the characters explicitly mentioning they are filming a documentary about some manner of satanic ritual or whatever. It seems as though at some point the filmmakers apparently forgot this, as we start getting impossible camera angles, such as the view of an RV's front wheel as it comes to a violent halt, while all the characters with cameras are inside the RV. We even get multiple impossible camera angles while they're all inside the shady looking lair, which would have to be the result of pre-existing security cameras inexplicably placed at waist-level. At the same time, there begins to be background music, which might be in-place if it were at any point clear that the footage we see has been properly edited. In fact it clearly is not as the film goes along. As for the content of the film itself, it was fairly ordinary and routine stuff. However, the environmental storytelling in particular was good, especially inside the "baddie lair". They did very little with it, though, and the actor portraying the Pastor was wildly ridiculous in his stiffness that it broke immersion several times because of how laughably absurd he came across.

No not even think about wasting your time on this garbage. This untalented group of clowns made a movie that looks like something a toddler created using his mothers cell phone by accident.

Ok just so you know, I love films. People on shoestring budgets that are talented can get the most out of the camera, actors and their surroundings. NONE of this happened in this movie. This is a "I hope nobody remembers all the first person movies that came out" POS out of the box. There is no redeeming value in any parts of this waste of time. These are supposed to be adults who can't get together on any level to do anything close to doing what they went to this town to do. The acting is horrible and there are several scenes ripped straight out of Blair Witch from the 90s. I think most people could come up with this exact type of film with a freaking iPhone and some editing. This is a total waste.

Amateur filmmaker Mark (Teddy Cole) wants to go to a warehouse in Harrison, Arkansas and conjure up the devil at midnight on October 6. He has three people help him and he thinks it is a good idea to mount a camera so we see the right front tire of their camper. Mark buys the equipment with a credit card and plans on returning it. Before they get there, they meet a stiff pastor. It takes an hour to get the crew into the warehouse. At this point, the camera work goes doubly bad. There is an annoying clicking sound while they are in there. It doesn't stop. A hacker punch if you can sit through it. We then get the floor cam, jerk cam, dark whimper cam, and the WTF cam. Guide: F-word. Ugly nudity.

Here we see the typical "Oh, some weird things are happening at X location, lets go there" kind of movie. I'll go right into what I liked and disliked about the movie. LIKED: Although the construction of the plot as the movie goes is as generic as they come, it was decently executed; The eerie feeling to certain parts of the movie was good. DISLIKED: The movie introduces generic backstories, betrayal events and personal conflicts that are just there for you too feel something for these characters, but these are badly executed, and I felt nothing in the conclusion of the movie; A found-footage movie is about immersion, it's about having a realisting feel while you are watching, but the direction decided to add soundtracks to tense moments, completely killing the mood for me. Silence in horror found-footage movies are a great thing, don't ruin it by turning this into a normal horror movie. Overall badly acted, but decent performances by Hayley Lovvit(Leslie) and Brook Todd(Ryan).
