The second film from director Arthur De Larroche hits a home run. It's encouraging to follow this young man's promising career, he just keeps coming out with more films! Can't wait to see what he comes up with next.

This movie popped up when I was actually looking for something else, and for whatever reason, the synopsis jumped out at me. The first few minutes caught me by surprise - I had to check the production year. The vibe felt very Blair Witch Project, so I was shocked to see it in fact just came out. My initial impression, once I got over the stiltedness and opened myself up to it, was: funny. Really funny. The main actress gave a performance so subtle I almost didn't know if I was supposed to be laughing or flinching, but once I felt in on the joke I could really see the genius of what the filmmakers were doing. This film may not be for everyone. It's very unique, and won't sit well with those easily offended. I found it to be refreshing in a time of rigid social commentary. It's clearly very low budget, which I thought of as charming, and didn't get in the way of the content. It's an exploration of the meaning of life through the lens of an amateur and lost girl set to the tune of hilarity. Lots of verbal blunders and mishaps that feel familiar in their nature, be it by yourself or someone you know. Nobody wants to think they're Claire, but we all have a little bit of her in us. Lost, insecure, and not sure of what the right thing to say it. Micaela Wittman carried the film with ease from start to finish. I am excited to follow her career, as I think she is a rising star. I haven't seen a performance this funny since Steve Carrell in The Office and I can't wait to see what she does next. Consider me a fan!

This is the kind of movie you either love or hate...it is not for the faint of heart. Very fun/ quirky film. Can be seen as offensive, but a breath of fresh air. I think Wittman is a great actress along with the rest of the cast. It will have you wondering if it's a real documentary. Sweet story with lots of laughs along the way.

This feels like it was made in the 90s, in the best way. This is the first time since I watched Slacker in 1990 that I'm happy the film has no budget. It feels a lot like discovering Richard Linklater. I hope the main actress goes far. I'm a fan.

I thought that a mockumentary about everything that is wrong with new age people would be funny. But it wasn't. To me, it was shameful. Too hard to watch. How someone can be that ignorant and narcissistic and just generally low consciousness while acting spiritual is just so bad. I couldn't stand to watch more than ten minutes of it. Maybe it's actually a good film, but I couldn't watch it. Hopefully the new age community watches it and has their eyes opened to how dumb they are and they can finally grow up.

Why hasn't anyone made a movie about this until now!? It seems like such a no-brainer, but De Larroch and Wittman brought to life an idea that was asleep in the collective unconscious, only temporarily untouched by cinema. So many lines reminded me of things I've heard other people say, or have even, unfortunately at times, been guilty of myself. Claire was so cute and the actress has impeccable comedic delivery. I'm so glad I found this little gem!

I'm so ecstatic that my spiritual guides led me to the film that enlightened me into eternal bliss; leaving the "me" and entering the "you" (excuse the disgusting imagery). I too, like Claire, am on my journey and have cleared my chakras (orange in particular) and am trying to channel my next guru. I'm going to sit here until phone rings. Until then...congratulations Claire on finding your groove. *Side note: see film to understand review.

I thought this was a real documentary for a moment which tells me the acting was spot on. I would actually use this film to show how absurd the beliefs and notions of the New Age spirituality is. This is like a mockumentary. I was in the new age for 10 years and was very deceived by the topics of non-duality, moral relativism, shamans, crystals, pendulums, tarot cards you name it... people will take their feelings as an objective truth and the character through out the film does just that. She's trying to reach an unobtainable goal of enlightenment like so many others that have been deceived by eastern philosophies and why the conclusion of the film is actually spot on for real life, she didn't obtain enlightenment. Let me say this, Truth is absolute and there can only be one truth of reality and everything else opposite of that are lies. I and others I've met believed we were heading towards enlightenment which is a arbitrary term for an image in your head of yourself as reaching Godhood. Like Becoming one with God and some will say actually becoming God. Eastern philosophies have some good teachings but many of its spiritual concepts are actually not logical. If you take Buddhism to its ultimate goal and become a monk with no ego then you might as well be a vegetable meditating on nothingness. You always see from these spiritual practitioners treat the ego as some sort of thing you need to get rid of and then you'll reach "enlightenment". I think it's good to explore different beliefs and religions but they can't all be true and when applying logic you can see that eastern philosophies does a poor job explaining itself or what God is or how reincarnation works or whatever. We can't even be sure these are actually Buddha's teachings because what we know about him was written 500 yrs after his death. Doesn't sound reliable. Anyone that watches this film and is confused about concepts they touch on shouldn't feel stupid. Christianity on the other hand goes above and beyond explaining who and what God is, why we are here, why we have to die, what Good and evil is and what happens after death. It's source the Bible is very reliable written by man but inspired by God. One of the dead giveaways that Jesus is who he says he is and that heaven and hell is real and we need Salvation from Jesus is the very fact that 80% of the prophecies have come true and no historian has legitimately debunked the Bible's prophetic and historic events that is backed up by 100s of thousands artifacts with no single one showing the Bible's records of events to be false. I trust the source that can tell the future and then it happens precisely as foretold. That is a fingerprint of God because only God knows the past and future all at once. So yes this film gets 6 stars because it's actually great at depicting the absurd and confusing conversations between gurus and westerners that are trying to reach enlightenment.
