The best audience for this stand-up comedy are prisoners as most of his jokes were about prison life and rules so good location here. Ali Siddiq has been there and will let you know plenty of times, but he knows what he's talking about, like the inmates also do. So a lot of inside jokes, entertaining enough for me though. Ali Siddiq is a good storyteller, pleasant to listen to. I wasn't particularly a fan of the interruptions where he interviews prisoners, nor the lesson giving. I prefer a continuous show when watching a stand-up comedy. For prison talk there are better specialized shows nowadays.

This seemed less like a comedy show and more like watching a personable ex-con pal around with inmates using lots of inside jokes. However, if you've seen enough semi-real prison shows and movies (or been in yourself), you will understand the jokes...it's just that they are the type of jokes you'd laugh at when having one and one conversations with the person, but not laugh at watching. Basically, prison version of a bunch of dad jokes. Also, it strangely felt very pro-State. Additionally, there didn't seem to be any point except letting the world know he is an ex-con and now tells jokes for a living. Nothing against the guy, I just didn't find any redeeming value, memorable jokes, or any reason to ever watch again. Oh wait, I did chuckle at the very first joke ("Thanks for being here tonight, not that you had a choice." Not original, but fine.) and the last joke which wasn't really a joke but a real prisoner lady talking about loving some nasty slime food.
