Well, I won't lie, the visuals were good, not exceptionally magical, but it was acceptable, the soundtrack, ok, the scenario, I can work with that, maybe a little rushed but I can live with it, I liked the political perspectives of both leads clashing, it was funny sometimes.
What I hated that there were literally zero consequences for what the heroine's actions! Like the only thing she got was a pat on the back, indirectly! The hero got his legs blown, he was shamed, humiliated, belittled, then he got locked in jail for six months and was kicked out of the military, while our lovely heroine got her free medical insurance, became a mega famous rock/pop star??? Seriously?? Yes he got money too from the fake marriage, but it was all so that he could protect his family and her!
She was so selfish when he was forced to live with her at first, my dude got his legs in tatters and was afraid of military persecution, but no how could he take her personal space and leave her with the consequences of marrying a marine for money *surprised pickatchu face* and she gave a special needs person the couch to sleep in? I thought she advocated for the needs of helpless people...
Also, like why would the military take the word of drug dealer???? Suspicious man, with no evidence???
Why couldn't the hero and heroine say that no their marriage is real, they had so many witnesses confirming the legitimacy of their marriage or am I missing something here?
And then there's Franky, my poor man Franky, was killed off, mourned and forgotten about in the span of 5 minutes :( never to be brought up ever again.
I liked and hated this movie at the same time.
