Nice plot. Weak screenplay. Bad casting. Nice to hear Songs/BGM, it is Yuvan. Poorly executed. Thriller with not so convincing twists in the climax.

How perfectly executed.....I love this....and the last scene where the protagonist was crying holding her....oh my god....seriously a gem of a movie...

I watched this movie only for Shirish. He is such a hot guy with full lips, penetrating eyes, broad shoulder, tall and well built lower body. The actress was okay types and not suitable for the type of character. The producer could have invested to put better character artists. But the story, screenplay, direction, music are good. Shirish need to work more upon his acting skills. He looked nervous all the time.

Filmmaker Dharani Dharan who made the fairly impressive Burma and Shirish who made his debut with the acclaimed crime drama Metro have joined together in Raja Ranguski, a whodunit murder mystery thriller. An old lady Maria(Anupama) an antique collector is brutally murdered in her villa and all the evidence point towards a young constable Raja (Shirish). An inspector Arokyam (Vijay Sathya) and CBCID officer KK (Jayakumar) chase the constable to put him behind the bars. On the other hand, Raja gets the help of his writer girlfriend Ranguski(Chandini) and his constable friend(Kalloori Vinoth) to find the real murderer... One of the strength's of Raja Ranguski is the crisp runtime (120 minutes) and unpredictable twist which we get to know only in the climax. Although the romantic portions featuring Shirish and Chandini were not convincing, the investigative scenes are quite intriguing. Yuvan Shankar Raja is in top form and his background score is easily the biggest selling point of the film that he elevates the thrill factor with his music. Performance wise, Shirish has the physique for a cop role but the actor should improve on his expressions. Chandini has ann important role but her performance isn't quite convincing. Anupama Kumar shines in the brief yet pivotal character while the characterizations of the two cops - Jayakumar and Vijay Sathya are fascinating in the mystery thriller. The comedy one-liners of Kalloori Vinoth is also enjoyable in many places. The trouble with the script is that the romance between Raja and Ranguski is badly written and not convincing. There are some red herrings thrown in to confuse the viewers but they are almost immediately eliminated and you can guess the murderer towards the climax. Cinematographer Yuva perfectly captured the mood of the characters, his shot divisions within the limited landscape of the villa is very impressive and the constantly moving frames also helps to hold the attention of the viewers. The editor has packaged the film within the perfect duration and there is no needless gimmick. A wonderful crime thriller to watch. recommend for any crime thriller fans. definitely did not expect a mystery like this.

Thriller movie. strictly for one time watch. Mainly due to the dumb acting of the hero. he is unable to express many reactions. Chandini looks very matured and aged. anyways the suspense keeps us hooked till the end. its about how the hero escapes from a murder charge he is accused against. And how he handles and captures the murdered who threatens him through phone.

Raja Ranguski - A crime thriller movie with lead actors Metro shrish(Raja) and Chandini(Ranguski). Movie starts slowly with character introduction and love blossoming between Raja and Ranguski. In half an hour's time, a murder happens and asusual hero is a main suspect from police angel. Main success of murder mystery genre is that director keeps us guessing who is the murderer till the very end of the movie and did the director do this? A BIG YES! The director keeps us engaged in the story and gets us involved in solving the mystery or at least keeps us guessing who would the murderer. Yuvan is the music director of this movie and he didn't contribute much to elevate the movie to next level. Songs and BGM were very normal. One drawback in this movie is slow paced. Music didn't click much. Over all it's a decent flick and I am sure you will be guessing throughout the movie.

Not a Good Movie. Nobody acted good in the movie. Songs were worst and not needed in the movie. BGM in the movie were worst. The movie was interesting and thrilling at 1st half. The movie bored and lagged a lot at 2nd half because of unwanted scenes and songs. Not a Good Movie.
