"7G Rainbow Colony" is a masterpiece that significantly broadened my perspective on love. This Tamil film, directed by Selvaraghavan, masterfully captures the raw and unfiltered emotions that come with young love.
The story revolves around Kathir, played by Ravi Krishna, and Anita, portrayed by Sonia Agarwal. Kathir's character is deeply flawed, yet his journey of transformation is both relatable and heart-wrenching. Despite the disturbing scene where Kathir peeks at Anita through the window, the film beautifully redeems itself by showcasing the depth of his love and the lengths he's willing to go for it.
The songs and background music, composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, are nothing short of phenomenal. Yuvan's music seamlessly blends with the narrative, enhancing every emotion and moment in the film. The soundtrack is a perfect mix of soulful melodies and energetic tracks, each resonating with the audience and adding layers to the storytelling.
Overall, "7G Rainbow Colony" is a poignant exploration of love, redemption, and personal growth. It's a film that stays with you long after the credits roll, thanks to its powerful performances, compelling narrative, and exceptional music. Highly recommended but not suitable for this current generation.

No matter how many love stories came before this movie as well as after this movie, hardly any let alone few stayed on my mind as much as this one.
I watched this movie's Telugu version for the first time around 2012 or 2013 on TV and happened to watch again last night while flipping TV channels. And because of the impact as well as the respect I have for this movie, I kept watching it.
Watching TV is a rarity in today's life when everything has shifted (and shifting more towards) to the OTT platforms.
Do I need to tell the story? I don't think so. All I can do is to praise the flawless crafting of this movie right from acting, direction as well as the music composition.
Very rare it is, when a movie in its entirety touches your heart and this movie is one of them.
Every actor has been perfectly casted. Right from the then debutant Ravi Krishna to even the smallest character who had some contribution in the movie.
When I watched this movie back in 2012-13 (I was 15-16 back then), I admired Ravi Krishna's work in this movie that I thought that he must've become a huge star by now in Kollywood. Unfortunately, that hasn't been the case and he's almost lost in the oblivion and that's not something which you can expect to end up when they made an actually impactful debut. We see many debutants with certain flaws and with coming films, they sharpen their craft. But this guy was a complete package. Enough praising him.
Kathir's character is sketched in such a way that the worst of the worst traits in a growing young adult are visible through Ravi Krishna's portrayal of that role. It makes you hate him yet you may relate with him because at least something bad he did has had been in us.
The movie is so haunting, that it remains unforgettable even after years later (at least, in my case).
A story of redemption and the power of pristine love (though externally we can imagine that Kathir's love is not love but pure lust, but that isn't the case. Realest form of love is more flawed externally than anything else but internally only the one who loves knows it). Irrespective of gender, if there's one person who believes you, supports you at your worst, it's for sure your life can turn around and you'll be on the best path you've ever been before.
After watching this movie, I've had mended my ways to love whichever girl who came across me. I loved them with all with my heart but could never end up in a relationship with any of them.
The songs are still fresh and sounds as if you're hearing them for the first time and the background music scored and used during the first half is so joyful that one of them is my ringtone to this day (the one when Kathir starts admiring Anita). Great work by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
And a great great direction by Selvaraghavan.
Thank you Team 7/G Rainbow / Brindavan Colony for giving us this masterpiece of work.
I'm genuinely sorry if I over praise anyone in this review but whatever I've written it's with all due respect to everyone who contributed to make this movie what it became.

A must-see tamil movie.
Psychotic lover (Ravi Krishna) goes after a new girl in the neighborhood (Sonia Agarwal). Seems familiar? Not at all because this what you'll see is a original, fresh story that has been never showed before. Plot is interesting and characters' development is extraordinarily smooth.
First half of the movie brings big laughs and the second half brings tears.
Masala movie with ambition, brains, psychology and a good-script.
The story is based on a true story and it not only touches the heart but tears it apart.

The movie is really beautiful.. We cannot but feel sorry for the hero.. I think he acted very well... else this movie would not have had the same impact. I just could not stop my tears when he hears Anita die in the next room. The scene where he takes away the mat and the pillow on which Anita's dead body was laid upon was very very touching... Its a beautiful movie... touches your heart and makes you wonder if so much love can really exist for someone in your heart. I have seen many heroes.. handsome ones and not handsome ones.. but Ravi Krishna is definitely talented... Being a hero requires talent, not beauty.. and he definitely got it... I did not like Sonia Agarwal as much.. but this movie would not have been watchable without the Hero... he did justice to the role. I just kept wondering how a person could live all his life with so much pain and love in his heart.. .all these emotions are really brought to life in the movie.. Its a must watch...

Selva Raghavan showed Raw & Intense emotion of Love through this Film.... Actually this movie based oh his real life that's why characters in this film are very natural!! Ravi Krishna, Sonia Agarwal, Chandra Mohan & Suman Shetty they gave the best to this Film! When I watched this film am really connected to the every character in this film! Every Shot will create and it shows the Intense and mostly we cant even find any cringe in this film! Of course.... Tamil Film Makers r quiet from other Industry Film Makers b'coz they r very particular on emotions. I felt wounder that Ravi Krishna gave his voice for both Tamil and Telugu & most of the debutants doesn't have that dynamic nature to give same to their bilanguage film!
Climax is amazing Selva Raghavan showed every emotion in detailed way! The background scores r literally heart whelming Yuvan gave the best every bgm will leads to connect with the story. Many years were passed but still this movie is Refreshing.....
Except fight in Rain scene rest of the scenes were natural!

what a great movie.. i think its amongst the ranks of Kaadhal.
I'll admit i was revolted by Ravi Krishna but he proved to be a good actor!
He grew on me... i'm sure you've read the review before so i won't bother much on that.. just a short summary:vagabond guy falls in love with girl, she turns him into a good guy and though she professes to have no feelings for him, she slowly falls for him.
now reading that you might think OK another routine routine love story.. big mistake!
the gradual progression of each character is anything but smooth. The edges are always sharp..you never see an outright change in Ravi nor Anita(Sonia). Its not a rose colored, glossy portrait of real life. Its real life in all its raw jolting emotion. I mean she relents ultimately, but she doesn't do it as to compromise her behavior. Its not a sudden illogical character change...one moment being disgusted and irritated to next moment being loving and caring and attentive.
Ravi Krishna's character is always like a ruffian and i think this key aspect of the movie gives it its credibility. In the end we have insight as to how good of a character Ravi Krishna really is and how much love he has for Anita.
The thing i like most about this movie is that you walk away with some feeling of satisfaction.
There were some really funny scenes...as well as some tense ones and obviously this was a controversial movie.
Sri Raghava has to be commended for pushing the envelope in such a right wing country as ours..and i'm surprised that he came out without having any of the theaters being burnt down! I recommend this movie whole heartedly if you are tired of watching mindless cr*p..and want 2 watch something heart rendering.
