This is teeeerrriiiiibbbbllleeee. I'm used to lifetime movies so I truly know bad acting and this was BEYOND. The acting was so annoying it put me in a really crappy mood and I had to turn it off. The couple that did the hiring ... come on, you couldn't find better actors? She was terrible. Please. Ugh. The emotions didn't match the dialogue and it was stilted and choppy. The "nanny" was definitely in a different league. She was good and I've seen her in many movies. Please hold more auditions next time around so I'm not in such a bad mood when I'm trying to relax and enjoy a movie on a Saturday afternoon!

OMG! I've seen better acting at a 4th grade recital where the kids are fed each line before saying them. Caia Coley(director's wife), made all the "I'm crying" facial expressions for almost 10 minutes without a single glassy red eye or tear, on more than one occasion. The parents must have had their kids in their 50s. They aren't believable in the slightest.
All the good reviews on here, I'm guessing they are paid endorsements from the production company.
I'll be fair though, there are TWO really good parts....
The anticipation of waiting for it to start... AND...
The relief that it's over..

I have never seen a movie with such bad acting. I wondered if it was the script or budget or the acting...was definitely the acting of every cast member. The dad was skeezy. Was just all bad acting. You could tell it was a low budget as well. If the two lead actors have been married for years in real life as I read and have had a long acting career, I dont see how because their skills were just bad. The "nanny" her acting was like scraping nails down a chalkboard.
In part of the script the two main characters state that they hoped Maddy could afford the rent and if not, she could watch the kids. Their ad was for a RENTER, not a nanny. So shouldnt the renter have had an outside job to go to and if a babysitter was needed, the renter was home? With the movie starting out showing how Wendy and Maddys dad took Maddy to foster care, and later in the movie with Jonathan stated how Wendy and Maddy acted like sisters, you already figured it all out. The movie also made the nanny look like she was wifey #2 with them always being together. Thats not how it is in a real life situation. The script had too many holes. Throw the movie away. Glad it didnt cost to watch it.

I absolutely can't believe how bad this movie was. The script was choppy. The acting was laughable. The crazy part is this could have been a fantastic movie, but whoever directed it was doing childs play. N whoever hired these actors obviously had no idea what they were doing. Every single actor in this film was bad. How is that even possible?
I don't get it. To spend all that money to film this was a waste of time. It's like chat GPT wrote the script. N 4th graders picked out the actors. I cant even believe I finished watching it. Very disappointing!!! This could have been such a great movie. It was worse than a lifetime movie.

This movie has such poor acting like several other people have said. The quality is very poor and I'm very surprised in year 2024 that the quality is so poor. I just can't get over that the parents of the kids look like grandparents. They look like they're in their seventies with kids that are preteens. It's quite comical looking at it and it's hard to focus on the movie because that looks so fake. I have never seen any of these actors before. But basically I would not waste my time on this one unless you're extremely bored and just need something to do to pass the time. But I would definitely pass on this one.

The acting in this film is really bad. The dialogue and the plot were so predictable. I truly wish they put more time and effort in the writing process. The whole seduction process was ridiculous between the baby-sitter and the husband. This could have been a decent low-budget feature. The nanny's boyfriend and the wife's acting was horrible. I don't know how production let these actors continue to turn out bad scenes. At least the quality of the film was good. It had a decent edit and the camera work was on-point. The film put money behind the production but failed to hire a decent casting director.

This is quite a decent drama.
A family need a live in Nanny and one of the applicants for that position seems deranged and intent on causing havoc and worse to the family if she gets the job.
I thought there was some decent players, and the cast gives fairly credible and professional performances.
An outstanding feature of this movie is unlike other similar type stories by the very end of the picture there is a proper compassionate story to be told.
The actresses playing the Nanny and that of the wife more or less vie to steal the show though the husband also gives a believable showing.
Because the story ends up better than expected I can give this:
7/10.

So confused by the reviews. I'm actually surprised by Laurie Fortier being in this movie because she is usually a good actress but it's like it was a requirement to act bad in this movie. Lifetime style movies are usually predictable and this was very predictable which doesn't bother me but I just can't get over how bad the script and acting was in this movie. Big letdown! Especially because I was excited to see a nanny style movie with Laurie Fortier being the lead actress on Tubi. I really enjoy her movies but not this one. I don't understand the other reviews at all. Seriously don't waste your time with this one.

This movie is terrible. I have no idea why there are so many positive reviews. They must be planted by production cause there's no way people really enjoyed this. I watched it yet still don't know wtf I watched lol. It was like 5 different plots in one movie. The terrible acting, flimsy dialogue, the fact you could see Maddie's got a square pillow in her shirt that's supposed to be a baby bump lol. The random confrontation between the husband and the road rage guy. I can't. I already didn't have high expectations for these Prime/Tubi type movies anyway but this is amongst the worst. It's not even like a good bad Lifetime movie like the ones from Marvista that I Iove to hate. I do not recommend this. Not even out of boredom.
