I watched this because I quite like a lot of the comedies that come out of New Zealand; alas, this movie was so yucky. The issue I have with this film is not that this is gross humor; the problem is that it is just gross, without the humor. Seriously, watching this will make you feel dirty. If you actually make it all the way to the end, you'll most likely be overwhelmed by a compulsion to wash your eyeballs. If this is your first experience with New Zealand cinema, don't give up on the Kiwis because this is possibly the worst example of what has come out of their entertainment industry. There is not much else I can say about this beyond watch at your own peril.

Great acting and brilliant comedy scenes. We all have a 'Rico and the boys' in our lives and if you don't...then get some! Had the whole cinema laughing. Fully recommend. Support our home grown actors. Chur to the farken chur!

I don't know where this movie came from or how they dreamed it up, and none of it makes any sense. It's brutally kiwi-as and unexpectedly but delightfully hilarious. Possibly my new favourite kiwi film. Come with an open mind, embrace cringe, and allow yourself to enjoy this quite funny, albeit disturbing, kiwi surprise.

It everything you want from a sci-fi comedy film funny as hell and far fetched to be interesting. There is reference to all the great genre. But what stands out the most is the comedic styles of the actors and how the director use the surroundings areas for a back drop for moment off funny silence. The sex scenes leave you to falling of the chair laughing.

Riko lives in Waikato, New Zealand, which is as close to the middle of nowhere as it gets. While nearly every day is the same, things change when two aliens land and become his friends. However, an alientologist has been hunting the extraterrestrials and wants to reveal them to the world. Alien Addiction was written and directed by Shae Sterling, a veteran of more than 125 music videos for artists like Sheila E and Snoop Dogg, as well as a series of documentaries called High Octane. New Zealand still feels like, well, alien territory for most of us, so seeing how interplanetary visitors fit in there is a pretty fun concept. Thirty three years after Bad Taste, it seems like aliens are coming back to New Zealand. These ones are more interested in friendship than they are with treating our planet as a galactic drive-thru, so that's good. The blue aliens are goofy looking in the best of ways and get high off of poop, so that right there should tell you what kind of movie you're getting into here. You may have some difficulty understanding the Kiwi accents, so consider watching this with close captioning on.

Strongly reccomend seeing this movie! So many laughs throughout and amazing cinematography of New Zealand. Hard to believe it was fully self funded. There is something for everyone in this film a movie everyone over 13 will enjoy :)

Extremely poor choice of actors, I've seen better actors in my child's school play.
