Good low budget film that is clearly very influenced by 70s Westerns down to the promo poster which is very cool. It may not be McCabe and Mrs. Miller but it sure beats "Dear White People" or most other modern throwaway garbage.

I agree with low budget. Costumes were bad, very bad. I've seen worse Westerns. Good outdoor shots. This could have been a contender, given the chance. Not a horrible Saturday night.

Iron Brothers was an excellent movie on its own, but an even better movie when I realized- it's only a student film! It likely had a low budget, and definitely had a VERY small production team. (Pay attention to the credits- there are a lot of repeat names). It's hard to believe the quality! Indie movies often focus so intensely on being artistic that the story and character development get pushed aside. However, this film was able to do both! It tells a magnificent story about two brothers, and their character developments are truly inspiring. It is also beautifully artistic. The score and cinematography are INCREDIBLE, and the whole thing makes you feel like you're embarking on a great adventure! Definitely worth the watch!

Low budget, sound quality is poor, acting is amateur...not really worth your time

I'm writing this to the writer, director and funders. we are 2 comments in so I'm sure you will see this.
Film making is quite simple. Protagonist, antagonist, storyline, crisis, resolution.
Right from the start, well, 25 unnecceasy minutes in, brother A is hot headed and murders a man. Brother B kills an unarmed Indian.
On what planet did you think you audience was going to care for the Iron Brothers? There is zero potential for empathy or identifying with these 2 reprehensible characters.
Unless this film is about the law, the Indians, and the victims families getting retribution, what did you think the audience was going to do?
It's not even 30 minutes in and I simply don't care about them. Zero empathy for them.
Yawn.
I think a few people have seen this film, but 2 comments suggests that very few of them cared to make it to the end.
Which is a shame because if you created a different plot device I could have stayed to the end and Maybe this was a good film. Maybe it is. But I have no interest in finding out

When you watch IRON BROTHERS for the first time, it will take you back to the "good-ole" days of classic films with a modern feel. You will love the majestic scenery and expansive shots and the raw relationship between the two brothers fighting for survival. Their rough edges and on-the-surface emotions offer a "real" glimpse of what life would be like during this time period. A slow boil leading up to the epic finally. But the most remarkable part about IRON BROTHERS is that it was written, directed, filmed, and acted by a group of College Students! When you see what these young directors were able to accomplish with a limited budget and their debut feature film, you will be astonished! And every Native American in the film is a member of the Shoshone-Bannock Tribe out of Southern Idaho using authentic costumes and their own horses, they do a remarkable job for their first time on film. Truly a treat!!
