I would give it a different review if the story happened naturally and genuinely went from investigating a forgotten baseball card collection to Investigating what happened to Dad but unfortunately it is so painfully scripted and over produced it is barely watchable. A more honest, straightforward approach with the main character setting off to find out what happened without acting surprised his card collection was worthless and weaving in the trading card industry history would have made for a better story and film. Instead we get a series of terribly scripted "I didn't come here to talk about my Dad" sequences when it's obvious they did. (The moment the film becomes unbearable for me). On a positive note, I gave it a 2 because the retro Topps-style movie poster was well done.

What an amazing doc with a twist. I collected baseball cards for years. This movie was a wake up call.

I really don't understand why everyone is hating on this. It had plenty about baseball cards and their history. UpperDeck being shady and over producing Ken Griffey jr. card was interesting to learn. At first when they kept switching back and forth from baseball cards to family drama I felt it was kind of odd for a documentary about baseball cards. But to be completely honest by the end I really wanted him to sit down and confront his father about what a deadbeat he is. All in all a good documentary I will definitely recommend to my friends.

Really wanted to watch this movie - I grew up at this time, collected cards, worked at a card store, divorced parents - but this was really awful. The story of Stu's father leaving, the WHY - the whole center of the story is never answered. Very weak filming, all shaky camera, not set up no pay off. Sad. Really wanted to like this. Don't waste your time.

I'm not crying, you're crying. Brings you back to your childhood. Great cameos, heart felt story and worth the watch.

Loved this documentary! I was a kid of the late 80's/early 90's and this really brought me back. What I originally thought was just a documentary about baseball cards, turned into so much more! Thank you for taking me on this journey with you!

A GREAT film that brings back many awesome and not so awesome memories of my childhood. This film mirrors a part of my life when I was a kid collecting cards at the same time before the internet existed. Many of us found old boxes of cards from the 60s - 80s with the Bible of Value - Beckett spinning our heads making us think we had struck gold. All of a sudden many card companies popped up and began over printing all the cards that were supposed to be limited release and hard to get. 30 years later people can't get rid of a box for $5 because you can buy a complete set for $8. LMAO. Back in 1991-1992 we spent $8 just for a pack of Leaf Series 1 and Topps Stadium Clubb.... OOOHHHH!!!! WHAT A RACKETT!!!!! Do yourself a favor and watch this film. It starts off as a baseball card exploration to the reuniting of a Father and Son all these years after the card boom collapsed. Grab your tissues, sit back, and hit play. - Todd Fulkerson.
