Dreamy, brooding, space-time bending, psychological thriller. Exploring the special and unique connection twins share. Artfully crafted: beautiful drone cinematography, mesmerizing time-lapse sequences, interesting compositions, and nice use of bokeh / depth of field in the editing transitions. Set design and location scouting is really lovely. Really like the music. VFX are well executed. Overall, a great low budget film that has a surprising amount of heart. Trigger warnings / spoilers: mild violence in fight scenes a tooth is punched out sewing a wound shut you might get hungry for breakfast foods.

This is such a great independent film. I loved it--it was beautifully written, filmed, and executed. Happy to see Sudbury locations throughout the film. Lunamancer had artistic, moving, and thoughtful content. The scenes with the main character's deceased father were intense, as was the inevitable ending. The music was suspenseful and fit the overall theme of the film. Hope to see this again on Amazon Prime soon! I am saddened that I cannot see it again for the first time. Congratulations to all the actors and the director on their efforts. Go Jake! Mary Ellen would have enjoyed this so much.

Pretty rad scifi flick! It's a solid story with drama, mystery, and great characters. Made even more impressive by the fact that it was made with so few resources. True indie film making!

Terrific visuals, atmosphere, and emotional depth throughout this debut feature film, which won Best Feature at the 2021 Philip K. Dick Science Fiction Film Festival. Very excited to see where this director goes from here.

Returning to his hometown in Upstate New York -- yes, I know, nothing good happens when we go back home -- Dr. Issac Blake (Jake Pirkkanen) has the psychic notion that his sister Sue (Nicki Clyne, Cally from Battlestar Galactica). So he grabs a crowbar, steals a car and prepares to battle with the Lunamancer (Cliff Tulis). Is it weird to say that the sound design is one of the stars of this movie? Because it totally is. This film sounds amazing and looks beyond what its budget should. There aren't many budget superhero movies, but this one does it right. Director Noah Mucci (who co-wrote this with Matt Patterson, who wrote This Film Is Not Yet Rated and played the devil in Warlock: The Armageddon), who was the cinematographer for The Last Blockbuster, does a great job with a much, much smaller balance sheet than a Marvel or DC movie. Definitely worth keeping an eye on what he does next.

I just kept watching to see if anything was going to happen. I felt that something would be there to justify the strange character standing around looking confused and worried. I didn't understand why he made a telephone call from the telephone booth with nothing to say and he hung up because he didn't want to hear what was going to be told to him. I do have to admit that I hit fast forward a couple of times just to see if anything important happened so I could go back to view something interesting. I just can't imagine why there were reviewers that gave it a 10. Good luck next time to all involved.

This was so slow. There were way too many protracted, self indulgent, pondering shots that added absolutely nothing to the mood or story. If you strip out all the naval gazing filer there is about ten minutes where things actually happen, unfortunately these things make no real sense. I can only presume there was a story and a point to it all. There was zero characterization, the dialogue was stilted and there was no narrative structure worth a damn. Just because it's an indie film doesn't mean it should be poorly written, badly realised or poorly paced. I saw a description of it that apparently compared it to wolverine, taxi driver and the matrix, believe me it has nothing in common with any of them.
