A visual masterpiece. But the "sky is falling" commentary is annoying and insulting. Every few years we hear that the planet will be dead in 12 years, 20 years, etc. Yet, in the words of Dr. Ian Malcom (Jurassic Park 1993), "Life finds a way".

It's not an interesting series about nature, it's a cry for help. Here you will be constantly reminded that "everything is dying", "it was better ten years ago", "after ten years there will be no animals left", "people are killing planet" and so on and so on. EVERY 10 minutes D. Attenborough brags about "overfishing", "icecap melting", "deforestation" and stuff like that. If you're not some nature fan who fights for nature in daily basis, "Our planet" is just not for you. It's mood killer and I do not recommend it. It's nothing like "Blue planet" or "Planet Earth".

Just a short review. There is no denying the amazing cinematography and scenery in this documentary series. It's just astounding. Unfortunately this was somewhat ruined for me by narrative that is regularly questionable, inconsistent and even ridiculous. One primary example: "There are countless species in the rain forest. Millions more are being discovered weekly." Millions of species discovered weekly? (The actual figure is 15,000 to 18,000 a year... or about 290 a week). This is just one example of a myriad of "artistic license" statements that are made throughout this series, some minor, some contradictory to scientific reason and fact. Many statements seem "made up" for dramatization. For most people this will not be noticed as they are awed by the incredible scenery. For those more objective and more sensitive to media-hype, this series is filled with statements that are at least questionable as to accuracy and authenticity. I found this so regularly pointed that it somewhat ruined enjoyment of the series. Pretty pictures do not replace scientific validity.

Just s fantastic series. Amazing shots. Really s beautiful thing to watch, but i have s problem with it. Stop forcing climate change down my throat. I do care, i am careful about many things. But this show spend 30% of each episode forcing climate change down my throat. Why? It's religious. Just preaching. Show cause and effect ok. Don't make me watch a show only to have things forced on me. Watch this but have a skip button when it gets to self centered

As if I thought Sir David couldn't do anything more to amaze me, he comes up with this. What a phenomenal 8 episode show. The man is just extraordinary.

I gave it 7 starts because it is still a really good series, but 60-70% of the footage was reused from the planet earth 1 and 2 series.

Beautiful series, worth watching but the climate change=global warming propaganda, doom and gloom is unbearable . "The Global Warming Policy Foundation (GWPF) has made a formal complaint to the BBC about the series of gross inaccuracies in its recent documentary Climate Change: The Facts." "Attenborough documentary - Our Planet on Netflix - was accused of misrepresenting footage of walruses tumbling to their deaths over a cliff. Attenborough claimed on the voiceover that this had been caused by "climate change" and the melting of the sea ice on which the walruses hunted for food. But evidence has since emerged that it wasn't climate change which killed the walruses but rather a combination of marauding polar bears and the Netflix film crew whose activities may have scared the tusked, bewhiskered creatures to their doom."
