Where to start with this film school project? That's what it felt like, anyway. So, as seems to be common today, filmmakers appear to think that if they film everything in slow motion, it'll add drama and suspense... If this had been filmed 100% at regular speed, with the dialog spoken at a normal tempo, this 86 minute flick could have been shown in 45 minutes, tops. I'm a child of the 80's so I am biased in that I like that era. This was released in 2022, but it was filmed as if it were the early 80's. Which would have been fine if they'd gotten it right. Digital "scratches" added to the "film" can create the effect of watching an older movie, but only if you don't over do it. Not only were the "scratches" apparently on a loop, so that you see the same effects over and over again, they were WAY overused. No real film is ever THAT bad on it's movie theater journey. Then the audio... I don't know what they were going for there. Most of the time it sounded like you were listening to an old, dusty record complete with hiss, scratches and pops. Again... not realistic given the medium and the supposed era. Plot? Yeah... I guess there was one, Hooker gets killed, or does she? Who knows. Is she dreaming the demons or are they real? Who knows? Speaking of demons... once again, the acceptable notion is to mock Christianity. Here, the "preacher" could easily pass for one of the demonspawn instead. God, demons and Angels are are portrayed - several times, literally - as "inter-dimensional beings" and "aliens." The girl is being tormented by demons, yet she can still claim that she doesn't believe in God. It got to the point that I couldn't tell the "good" guys from the "bad" guys anymore. Pretty sure they were all bad, regardless of how they were intended. Finally... and I saved the best for last. I enjoy a girl with curves myself. Having said that, these were the healthiest hookers I've ever seen! I mean, the main girl is cute, but they do a great job of hiding her weight until the every last few minutes. Don't get me wrong... I'm not saying they were fat... they weren't... but none of these girls are what you associate with streetwalkers. It's just one more grain of sand that all adds up to a completely unbelievable experience.
