Direction is poor, acting is poor, story is poor. Why they even bothered with this I do not know. It's like what niche racing sport can we use to make a film and then not bother with the film, most of the racing scenes have no audience. John T did his best but why? And Shania is not an actress every scene was staged and not convincing, Poor movie, watch late at night if you just was bubblegum TV

This is a great father-son film. A very authentic American movie, highlighting the important things; such as friendship, love and family bonds.

Did this kid really win the championship after the first race of the season? The reactions of everyone involved would lead you to believe this. After all, the whole point of the story is for father and son to overcome their differences, get back together, and deny Linsky of his highly coveted 6th championship. Yet the story ends with the kid winning the first race of the new season in the new masterpiece of a car. In reality, big deal. It's only one race. Plenty more have to run to win a championship.

I give Travolta credit, he is trying his best to do something and, no one, I mean NO ONE knows what he is trying to do but him. All of his newest movies have found there way on to Amazon Prime Video. I go into all of them with the best intentions and while I find them mildly entertaining they are all predictable and aren't really going anywhere. Trading Paint is no exception. Trading Paint isn't the Crow 2 bad. But it's not very good either. I am really left scracthing my head on this one.I don't know. I just don't know

I actually hated this movie. Just so bad in every way possible. Travolta's wig was the icing on the cake. Realized there was still 30 minutes left and almost puked.

It was a great family movie and your typical race car movie. I personally loved it.

I've gotta admit what hooked me in from the start was Travolta's southern accent. It might not have been perfect but it sure got a smile out of me :) Then a few scenes later Tears are rolling down my face from a heartfelt father-son moment between Travolta and his kid in the movie! This movie really has it all. The monologues and story telling are so well done that I totally disagree with the 4.4 rating it's currently sitting at. When I first starting watching it I made a rule that no matter what I would keep watching until Shania Twain's first scene no matter what, and she was really great for her first full length film! Her presence just seems to have an aura about it and I'm surprised she hasn't been in more movies! I give Trading Paint 7/10 and it's a great late night easy watch!

The interaction between father and son was so maudlin and sappy I thought I was watching a Hallmark Christmas movie. We all new they'd win the final race, they always do, but give us a story. Down and out, not enough to money to compete against the big boys, finds the money, wins the race, smiles all around. Like watching the movie Titanic, we all knew the ship sank, and we all knew they'd win. Kevin Dunn's "Stumpy" was the only character I even remotely cared about. But I watched it, all...the....way......through. Only thing missing from this wanna be Hallmark fare, it didn't snow!
